Skin TestingSkin testing is done in office, by appointment for environmental allergens (grasses, weeds, mold) and/or for foods. Patch testing is a process to detect allergies to something a person has contacted with on a routine basis. These can test for metals, chemicals and other environmental allergens. Patch testing involves applying patches with substances in small discs to a person's back. The patches are secured with hypoallergenic tapes and worn for several days. No needle pricking is involved.
